You didn't say where you live so I will take that as you are asking in general. And you said for good food which means food that is well prepared and tastes good?
I live in northern california and we have a restaurant called Mimi's Cafe. It like a Coco's or a high end Denny's but is southern based. Very good food, good sized portions and the service is fast, the waiters/resses know the menu.
For fine food we go to The Cliff House in Folsom, CA.
Good fast food?? Is there any? Well Jack In The Box is doing a good job of upgrading their menu.

It all depends on where you eat out at because I went to this one place called El Greco's they have the best food and desert.The best Greek restaurant,and I love their food.

Depends, espenive or not so expensive well once in a whike me and my family go to the cheesecake factory there cheese cake ROX! they have fish, chicken , pasta etc http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/

I don't know where you live - But I LOVE "Dave and Busters" they have this awsome Grilled Chicken Chipolte Salad - it is awsome. All the food there is really good.
For low key meals - I love Subway subs and Wendy's taco salad.

the diner down on the corner, it's just a greasy spoon but the breakfast is great & the daily specials are fine and affordable.
