If you define the characters you play by "evil" or "good" you will be a terrible actor. There is a bit of "evil" in even the good, and a bit of good in all of the evil. The most interesting actors are those who can play an evil character with a pinch of good, or an actor who can play a good character and show you a little bad mixed in. That is a great approach to acting because it makes the character much more interesting and dimensional. Using this approach both types of characters are equaly fun AND realistic to create. Think of some of the great screen villains and you will see the actor playing them found a way to work in a little goodness or humor. Jack Nicholson in "The Shining" comes to mind almost immediately. On stage the rule is even more true. How boring to watch some hack actor for 2 hours as they skulk around the stage trying to be evil and scary. How much more enjoyable to see them create a multifaceted character, then at certain moments in the play shock you with their swift turn to evil. Hope this helps you. Above all have fun. i would say acting evil is more fun because u can get into character more... u get to embrace all the hatred u feel or ever have felt...and u get to insult others even though u r just acting...plus everybody expects the good guy to win, so u feel like maybe once u can change that...and haven't u always wanted to have a 'stache? lol all evil men have one...

I like being evil. It's way more fun, because you can do bad things like kill and cheat and harass but when you're off the stage, nobody's mad at you. It's a bit like therapy, actually.

Acting good because thats sooo hard to do. Its easy to be evil becauase we all are everyday in one way or another. whether it telling off someone for cuttin you off or giving someone the evil eye. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...... so i would act good because its so not me!
