You can create a lot of costumes using old clothes and makeup.
My daughter went a "LizzyBorden" using an old long dress, food coloring for blood and her hair messed up wearing smudged makeup.
She also dressed my son up as "Beetle Juuice" with big pair of pants stuffed witha pillow and held up with a belt and a stripped black and white shirt. She spiked his hair and used makeup to create the right look.......He won $75.00 for the best costume at the KC Hall.
Just using make up on my kids/.....
One year one of them was a puppydog clown....
a lion, a hobo, punk rocker, pirate, cat, robot, witch......
Use you imagination.
