Depends on what type appliance actually. Some you can just change the gas valve itself, some require more change-outs. Best bet is to check with your manufacturer to see if they have the parts or if it's even recommended. It will most likely void the warranty if you make any changes to the manufactured specifications.

Your natural gas provider has guidelines on what can be converted and also has the kits necessary, or can tell you where to get them.
For my home use, it was nothing more than a different hose and some type of filter/valve on it. (Going from CNG to propane)

Useally the orfices have to be changed, it is best to consult the appliance dealer or your gas company to see if your appliance can be converted.

you can buy a conversion kit to accomplish this task--any large feed and hardware store should carry this
