Although 90% of the time he plays the "hard man gangster" but I feel he can play so diverse roles including mr beaver in Lion,Witch,Wardrobe... Also his TV roles are so powerful including Sweeney Todd and Henry 8th.

Ray Winston is a awesome Cockney actor who can teach a good performance in a tremendous form of roles. especially, I loved his version of Henry VIII, which became spot on. Henry VIII became born in Greenwich and probable spoke reminiscent of Ray Winston did contained in the action picture yet with somewhat Kent thrown in.

I don't know about THE best but he is very good and he does get type cast, but he does play a really good gangster.
Put English Gangsters and American gangsters together and the British win hands, we say F*U* C* K like we mean it!

he is down to earth real absolutely fantastic picture him in king arthur alone never mind sweeney todd scum etc for me he makes a film worth owning and i buy anything i know he is in coz its sure to be brilliant anyone remember theres only one jimmy grimble thats another film he shone in

It's so refreshing to find an actor who isn't up his own behind!
It's obvious from his interviews that he's a normal family man, who's comfy in his own skin and doesn't make us 'nobodies' feel inferior!
Personally, I loved him best in 'Sexy Beast', coz he is one!!
