1. Life is full of little miracles.
It depends on how you define miracle. If it's defined
supernatural cause that affects the natural world then i disagree.
2. The way I behave in this life will determine whether or not I go to heaven.
Disagree. Heaven is wishful thinking. Death is final.
3. For the most part, people are inherently good.
Disagree. People are born as blank slates. Furthermore there are varying degrees to what is considered good and evil. Based on ones cultural involvement and upbringing this statement is highly variable.
4. Before I die, I most hope to have loved and been loved.
Agree
5. When I die, I hope to reach enlightenment.
Disagree. As stated above death is final. I do wish however to gain as much knowledge as i can about my world before i am forced to leave it.
6. Adam and Eve carried out the first sin, the original sin.
Disagree. Adam and Eve never existed, Genesis is a fable.
7. God is best described as many gods and goddesses.
Disagree. God is best described as a mental construct invented by the human mind to help it cope with uncertainty. How it is expressed is biased again by cultural involvement and upbringing.
8. I believe that the death penalty is not a justifiable punishment for any crime.
Disagree. It is true that it is not effective as a deterrent however if some people are beyond help to behave properly in society and pose a threat... why not eliminate the problem.
9. I believe that Jesus was a fictional character.
Disagree. I believe there is some truth to the Jesus story and character. The question rests on qualitative and quantitative elements.
10. I believe that evolution is the only explanation for the origin of the world.
Disagree. It's not the only explanation, but it is the most accurate.

1. Life is full of little miracles. - Absolutely
2. The way I behave in this life will determine whether or not I go to heaven. - No, I don't think there's a scorekeeper up there.
3. For the most part, people are inherently good. - No, for the most part people are inherently selfish... but when they realize that being good to others benefits them eventually, as most people do, then yes.
4. Before I die, I most hope to have loved and been loved. - Sure.
5. When I die, I hope to reach enlightenment. - Then what?
6. Adam and Eve carried out the first sin, the original sin. - Allegory.
7. God is best described as many gods and goddesses. No, again, because I don't believe there's a "structure" to our higher power or the afterlife.
8. I believe that the death penalty is not a justifiable punishment for any crime. - Tell me that after a member of your family is slain. Some claim that the death penalty is a non-deterrent, whereas I point out that that murderer will never murder again, which is a good thing.
9. I believe that Jesus was a fictional character. - Hard to say. I believe in a higher power, and I recognize the awesome sacrifice and commitment made by God through Jesus, but since I doubt the Bible's complete divinity and the older I get I tend to see how people twist the truth to benefit themselves so much... it's hard to know what to believe, especially from 2000 years ago.
10. I believe that evolution is the only explanation for the origin of the world. - Yep.

1. miracle is a religious term. incredible, remarkable, beautiful little occurrences are constantly happening, wondrous things, but are they miracles?
2. again this is religious, belief in heaven and miracles are a question of faith.
3. I think there is more evidence for the contrary.
4. Agreed, it should be the aim of everyone to love others.
5. Enlightenment is an Eastern concept and supposed to happen while one is still alive.
6. Religion again.
7. I can't describe who, what God is or even if he/she/it exists. Certainly there is too much difference of opinion.
8. I believe it is, there are worse things then death. Because of #3
9. Jesus was a historical person.
10. Evolution is misunderstood. Evolution is- the progeny of living things change over time to changes in the conditions of the places in which they live. The result of not changing to a changing habitat is extinction. As far as how it all began. Evolution provides NO answer. Creation is just as good an explanation as any other. However, once again, Creation necessitates a Creator or God and Religion; a faith based process which doesn't require proof.

5. Nope- I dont ever want to know everything!
6. Yes, and people have by nature expanded and came up with a huge cache of other ones for people to fall into.
7. No. God is described as one being.
8. Death penalty should be reserved for those who take a life unjustifiably.
9. Jesus is the whole truth.
10. I think that you can look at that statement and come up with many different scenarios, but once again based on my religion- I am going to have to say the world was created and grew after that.
