Forget it, my daughter had the 30gig ipod, and for xmas last year we got her the video ipod, an absolute nightmare. first thing you learn is that you cannot upload video without first buying itunes pro, which is a bit of a rip off right away. secondly the length of time it takes to upload video, as an example the Nizlopi JCB song video which lasts about 3 minutes takes 56 minutes to convert and upload, you can imagine what a 30 minute sequence would take, lastly go to apples website and read the reviews about it. wish i had it would have saved me a few quid, can't knock the ipod as a music but not as a video player.

i had a friend who was going 2 buy an i-pod,this is b-4 the video 1's came out.(will call her ne).NE was going 2 spend about 3-400 bucks.(including docking stations,car charger&adapter 4 the car raido).when i told her she should look into the PSP fm Sony(makers of the
Playstation)when i told ne she could watch movies,play any video game ever made,browse the internet and the PSP was 50-100 bucks cheaper.she went 4 it,but now the video i-pods are out and to me it still can't do what the PSP can do as far as a muti-entertainment machaine.also with PSP prices droping b-cuz of the PS3 is coming soon and i-pods prices going up an down b-cuz there so popular its really up 2 u 2 decide pops,just do ur homework,but the 1 real differece in the 2 is the hard drive space.I-PODS have bulit in ones and PSP's dont u have 2 buy sd media cards for the PSP to retain its info of music,videos and games thats it.

Seroiusly, don't get it for her, ipods are the worst peices of trash. On your daughter's side, they come in only two colors and they are easily damaged. On your side, the songs are outrageously overpriced, and it is a waste of money. She does not need 30gb, and if she did, get her the creative zen vision:m. I thin she could make due with just a flash mp3 player (look up flash mp3 player in any search engine), or you could wait for more companies to come out with comprable products (e.g. microsoft zune)

rivals that are better cheaper better bang for buck better quality???? YES creative makes better mp3 players that are more durable and cooler and come sin pink black white green baby blue and white. usally there the same price as the ipod but this place sells em for cheap prices. also it has better sound quality pictures videos and it ahs themes and picutres as backgrounds. psp's??? wtf psp's are PROTABLE GAMING SYSTEM. not mp3 players. and the ipod still doesnt match up to the creative zen vision m

I have one, there so cool, i got one at Wall-mart for 210.00 after taxes, it a 4 GB it hold up to 1000 songs, I just got it! I'm 13, and if you want your daughter to listen to you don't get one for her but at my school everyone has one and they are so great so you should get her one if you don't want to let you daughter to be a lame.
