Well now that question is very vague. I believe you are talking about cells. All living things are comprised of cells. These are basically the self enclose "machines" that the organism has to perform the functions needed for survival. They are living in one sense, but in all multi-cell organisms depend on the cells around for survival. If that was not what you meant then please clarify your question.

Living structures means not just atoms and molecules. Cells seems too big, so I'm going to say DNA strands....at least I think they're alive.?.!

Hmmm I'm thinking of that. What is your definition of living? If you count living as energy then atoms..but if it's something like brain function or feelings....who knows?
