The only danger I see to a marriage is when the marriage is already in trouble in the first place and if a partner no longer loves his or her spouse the same.
First they should either try and sort their problems out first or leave the marriage, then take up a new relationship and enjoy it when there free to do so. However, Internet affairs do happen but being boarded with your life, marriage or whatever, is no excuse for infidelity.
Why have an affair and fall in love if your not willing to leave your partner because obviously you don't really love or respect your partner the same if you enter into an affair with someone else. Unless of course its more a case you just want to have your cake and eat it at the same time...its better asking your at home partner for more sex etc; rather than just using someone else to help fill the emotional gaps that you have.
Also spending much more time on the computer chatting to others can cause a gulf between you and your partner especially if the time spent is excessive...and that can include even just game web sites for example and not just chat sites...and that can have effect on a marriage to.

Not really. I think if a person is going to cheat they will find a way to do it. It is all about character. The internet and chat rooms do not really change people, it just gives people an new avenue. It is like bringing the entire world into your home. Still the choices are the same. We all can choose to use the computer to learn, share, grow etc or we can use it to sneak, destroy and corrupt oursleves and others. I think an honest and upright person will remain the integrity and yet others live for their own selfish pleasure and relly do not care how they hurt themselves and others.

chat up lines are a danger to anyone who is not single, just because housewife's sit at home and raise the kids doesn`t make us bored! when the kids are in bed we tidy up we never have chance to be bored unless they don`t clean up. even if housewife's do get bored and find someone to talk to its not like you men, where you would actually sleep with em. woman can chat by using there mouths where as men chat by moving there hand towards there crutch lol.

Absolutely. Its a place where people begin fantacies at a very innocent stage. Ive seen TWO marriages ruined by online chat rooms and Im sure its happend more than once. Start a hobby that doesnt involve too much one on one conversation with people of the opposite sex.

Only if you take them too personally and go to the next level - ie. trying to meet people. There are fine lines that can be crossed, my honest opinion is that if that's something that consumes your time, your thoughts - you already might as well be cheating on him. Try calling him and innitiating the same kinds of conversations. It'll spice things up and be fun.

Any media that allows anonymity will open the door to fantacy and reckless imagination.
Best just find a penpal and use the postal service to have a friendship.
Too many married folk are using the internet to create rifts in their marriages and other's as well.

No. A housewife has a responsibility to be trustworthy. IF she is bored, she needs to learn to entertain herself without doing damage to her marriage or corrupting the trust in her relationship.

I think adults are responsible for their own behavior. Chatlines are just social networks. Housewives are usually in need of some social networks because they spend most of their time IN their homes with their children. Talking online does not endanger marriages, unless the marriage is already in trouble.

Yea. they are effectively a way of cheating on your loved one without any physical contact and will inevitably lead to further desire to meet someone else that you click with on the chat line.

Housewives are not bored. They should be taking care of the home, raising the kids, etc. Being a house wife isn't about sleeping all day.
