not sure, but I am crazy about snakes, and most other types of reptiles......lizards, turtles, spiders, you name it!..........I even like madagascar hissing cockroaches..........yup, that's me........most people say, you never would know it to look at me.....whatever that means.....but I am crazy for these critters!
I love bats also, btw
My fav reptile in the whole universe...........is the bearded dragon! love them! great pet for the beginner through advanced handler. great with everyone, personality a plus! precious creatures!

I like snakes. As long as the dangerous ones are properly contained, I am not afraid of any of them.
I ruined the fun for a guy in high school when I asked if I could hold the snake he had shoved in my face.

I think more people are afraid of them then there are people that like them i my self like them i keep them for pets and the one that said she has a cuz with a 12 foot ball python is a joke the average length for a ball male is only about 5 1/2 to 6 feet and a feamle is 4 to 5 feet long a ball is a smaller python and i think the fear of them is taught as children i have a male ball almost 6 foot and a albino bermese and a true red tail boa

Believe it or not I was scared of snakes until last night!!! I bought my son a corn snake a couple of weeks ago because we had to get rid of our cat because we found out he is allergic. Anyways, I was scared and would not touch it and could not believe I bought one for him!! Last night I finally held it and could not wait to come home from work today and hold him again. hope this helps

Well, according to Desert News:
"According to a 1999 Harris Poll, fear of snakes is the most common phobia among adults in America, with 36 percent of respondents saying they were "very afraid" of the slithering reptiles."
So, that would mean that 64 percent are NOT scared -- which includes me -- I'm the official snake catcher in our area!!

Don't know but I like them a lot. I used to conduct programs with them in my old job. It was great catching elementary kids and teaching them that they didn't have to be afraid but just careful (for their sake and the snakes). Snake bites from non venemous species are usually very similar to a cat scratch. They really are a cool species.

I just picked up a large (1 1/2 ft) garter snake last week in my yard and kept it as a pet for a few days. No fear here, although I use to be deathly afraid of them.

Love `em... Borderline obsessed with them. Unfortunately snakes are one of the most common fears.
