Using the organize command won't do it, There must be a way,

There isn't a tool to automatically alphabetize the favorites, but you can do it manually. First, click on favorites. In the drop-down showing your favorites, you can click on an item, and holding the mouse key, drag it to the position you want.

I've done this with IE 6. It may work with others too.

every file on your computer is alphabetized by default. if they aren't on your's you better scan for viruses.
