i live in small town usa and i want to get away from dial what are some suggestions for ineternet serivces i could try. thanks

Check out a company like EarthLink that isn't tied to one technology or vendor. If you have any options, they'll tell you.

If your looking for something that wont break the bank, but still gives you good quality and is NOT dial-up, try verizon. There rates are really cheap and there services is good. I have been a customer for 2 years. Never once had a problem.

Unless you have DSL or cable internet there, your only other choice it satellite broadband. DirectWAV is about $99.00/mth, or $69.00 if you buy your own equipment ($500. - $600.)
