I did, in a matter of speaking... anytime any one beats a mildly agressive cancer (I know that sounds "oxymoron-ish") they "cheat death' in a manner of speaking... I also think alot of people may have cheated death are "blissfully ignorant" of the "close call" or "timing" that kept them alive to screw up another day!
There, by the grace of God, go we!

When i was about 6 or 7 i was at home in bed because i was unwell , and boredom set in , so i picked up the bedside lamp took out the light bulb and inserted my first and second finger and hit the on button , to this day i can remember the pain shooting up my arm but i have no idea how i turned it off. Does this count as cheating death?

I avoided several deadly baby snakes years ago without even realising it, I nearly fell off a cliff edge at Victoria Falls, but my dad shouted at me just in time, what I thought was more solid rock with grass was like weird moss grass stuff that was kinda floating over the edge lol that was freaky! Mostly I avoid death by not going in Pearson Park in Hull lol
But yeah sadly a lot of the time it's down to my own stupidness, not realising I was in danger in the first place and just bumbling through things like that. It's quite unnerving when I look back and realise hahaha

When I was 15 I woke up one morning with really bad stomach pains. By the evening they were so bad that my parents took me to the hospital. The doctor diagnosed me with a urinary tract infection, gave me antibiotics and sent me home. The pain got so much worse through the night but we had been told if I took my medication and drank plenty of fluids, it would pass in 24 hours. Two more days passed. I could hardly walk. I went back to the doctors who again diagnosed me with the same condition and sent me home. The pain was so bad and I was on such strong painkillers by this time that I was actually halucinating seeing blood run down my walls and horrible images of foetuses. I hadn't eaten or slept for days. I was vomiting and in a terrible state. Eventually I began passing blood I became so weak I couldn't lift a glass of water to my lips. I was convinced I was dying. My parents again phoned the doctor and this time were advised to get me to hospital within the hour. It turned out I had had a burst appendix for 8 days. They had to drain 1.5 litres of fluid from my abdomen. Luckily somehow the fluid had stayed in one place in my body. If it had moved or got into my blood stream I would have got blood poisening and died. I just can't believe that the doctors didn't diagnose me sooner. After I was discharged I woke up in the middle of the night covered in brown gunge. My wound had re-opened because it was infected!

About five times:
1. When I was about 12, I was in the basement. I must have been on water and I touched the chain to turn the light on, I got the biggest shock of my life, I was just shaking for about ten minutes. I never had that bad of a shock since then.
2. In 1987 I went back east to visit relatives. My sisters boyfriend was riding his car with bald tires. We got on the freeway and his car slipped under the rail, we were on a ledge with a drop below us, about 100 feet, and were just dangling. Miraculously, we got to get back on the road. It was only about a minute, but it seemed like an hour. there were about eight people in the car and we were all shaking.
3. After my second pregnancy, I was laying in bed I felt kind of weak. The nurse was being a b****, and when she came over to my bed to take my BP, it was very low. She moved my blankets and the bed was just covered in blood, cause I was hemorrhaging. She panicked, gave me a shot, and was nice to me after that. So maybe it was worth it.
4. I had an inguinal hernia surgery in 2000. They had to put mesh in. A few weeks later, I developed a fever and swelling, and had to go back to the doctor. He immediately put me in the hospital and on intravenous antibiotics. They had to monitor me for six days, and several doctors came to my room. They let me go home in a week.
5. I just had surgery a couple months ago, for an inflammed galbladder and pancreas. I had high fever and excruciating pain. They told me I had very bad infection, and gave intravenous antibiotics, and were monitoring me. I had several different doctors cause they were trying to figure out where the infection was coming from. When they removed my gallbladder I had to take three strong antibiotics for two weeks, and I was okay after that.

I was in a coma when I was 29 for 4 days, lost half my body weight and was 5 months in hospital.
I'm now 62, so I guess you'd say I've cheated death for the past 33 years.
(Do you like the numbers?)
I've also walked away without a scratch from 2 write-off car crashes.

When I was about 5 years old I lived in a house in North Miami. My father, a lawyer, represented some mob related dudes, which he didn't know they were related to the mob at the time. When he found out he dropped their representation, not wanting any part of it.
One Saturday or sunday, can't remember exactly, we were all (my sister, mom, and dad) in my living room and TV room. I was watching my dad fix some lamp, when we heard gun shots. My dad told us all to get down. Meanwhile the sliding glass doors on the side of our house shattered. A couple of shots had been fired. Looking acroos the canal on the side of my house, my dad saw two dudes on the other side, reloading a weapon. He said that one told the other to shoot again.
My dad gathered us all into our bedrooms, he called the cops, and he went out the side of the house with his gun, but they had left already.
The cops came and found two bullets in the wall in the room right behind where me and my dad were. The bullets flew right by me and my dad!
Scary as shiit. Needless to say we relocated real quick.

I don't know about cheating death, but I've had several close calls. Hit a deer at 60 mph, lost my front wheel at 60 mph, no injuries thankfully. Almost died during childbirth. I think I'm pretty lucky!

Eleven years ago I flipped my Honda Accord end over end something like seven times. There emergency workers couldn't believe I walked away from that accident. The Highway Patrol Officer said to me, "Boy are you lucky!" I didn't feel lucky, I just destroyed my car! I was kind of pissed!
