To answer this question, I must ask you a question and request that you think long and hard about your answer. Don't you ever do things to get under his skin?
If you're not compatible as a couple, then make a different decision but understand that these kinds of things go both ways. If he's really awful tho, then you aren't to smart for staying with him!

It's a way for floormats to temporarily convince themselves that they aren't floormats.
They have the power and control, they don't even care that it's only because you give it to them.
That's it, nothing more. Should be treated as the lame behavior it is.

They feel they are in control. They don't have much control over their own lives, so having control of someone else's life is a big accomplishment for them. Sad, but true.
