I dreamt I was in a huge warehouse with thousands of other people. I asked around because I didn't know where I was. And they told me this was Pergatory. We were souls in storage until it was decided where we were going. I was not impressed and started looking for an exit. I found a fire exit and sneaked out with some others. We couln't get very far because it was fenced in. I don't really know what pergatory is meant to be, not being very well read Bible wise. So where this this wierd idea come from?

No really. I did dream it like that. I do have a tendency to have very film-like dreams at times. I'm not taking the p155 I just think it was quite an interesting dream.

If I had to guess (which is all anyone can do, I suppose) I'd say it expresses a fear of what you don't know. Maybe you're subconsciously feeling like you've missed out on something spiritually, maybe hearing about other people who have found some kind of religious meaning to their lives. The existance of Pergatory in your dream may also be expressing the fact that you feel as though your current life expresses a kind of Pegatory, or an empty meaningless state. Perhaps you fear anonymity, which could explain the crowd. And finally, your attempted, but ultimately failed escape, could express a trapped feeling you subconsciously have. Maybe you have looked for answers to these types of questions before and not found satisfying answers, that could potentially explain this. If any of this sounds on the mark I would recomend reading some philosophy, including (but not limited to) religious texts. Maybe even start simple, look up Pergatory or some other related topics on wikipedia.com . This might give you some insight, or a good knowledge base to understanding the dream, and you subconscious thought. Once again, I strongly recommend reading some books, it's quite enlightening....and sometimes even....fun. Good luck!
One more thing:
Don't listen to anyone saying it means nothing. Every thought can be traced to somewhere, no matter how obscure a place. Therefor there is some meaning to everything.

Purgatory is not in the bible, it is a Catholic. The meaning may mean that you and maybe trapped in a situation that you have no control over and that you and a few others may find a way out of the situation but not all.
Do you work for a company that maybe getting sold?
Do you live in an area that is being redeveloped?
Or maybe you are going to be getting involve with a bunch of Catholics that you may lead else ware, to Pentecostal?
Look for similar situation within the next six months.

Perhaps you heard the word in a movie or something recently. I'm sorry, but your question and dream seem very fake somehow.
The religious people will say that this is their god giving you a warning and letting you know you must decide now what to do with your faith so you don't end up in pergatory when you're dead and have no choices left. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM!

No dream is too weird to understand. In your case, you may have a dream of guilt conscience.
Warehouse = social life
Purgatory = low self esteem, fear
fire exit and sneaked out = denial about guilt
fenced in = suppression of things you have done.
Looks like you may be into something morally incorrect. Whatever that is you will know better yourself. If it is not moral, then it is your guilt conscience that makes you dream that. This dream could be about your social life. You may be left alone often and you are always searching for way to escape. Perhaps an escape from responsibilities. That may also have something to do about your guilt conscience. By projecting yourself in a hell like place, you subconsciously translate yourself into something fear that you don't want to face, but yet you are facing it in reality.
By not getting out because it was fenced in means that you are trying to suppressing your guilty feeling. On one hand, you want to escape, on the other hand, you admit, that is why your projected fences in your dream. You are struggling in reality. That is why you vent this out in dream

I didn't even read your explanation, but I can tell you remember A LOT from the dream. So it definatly means something. Dreams that have a strong meaning, will usually leave a lasting empression on the dreamer. If you remember it detailed and vividly, if it still gives you the chills or w/e then YES! It means a whole bunch.
I recommed you go to www.dreammoods.com and learn about it. Hope I helped :)

You probably just picked up that word somewhere during your day before the dream. They say that dreams are mostly influenced by things that happened on the day and during the week before. Those are the things that stick in our memory, even unconsciously, and during a dream your mind can get them out of the archive and use them in a dream.
I don't believe that dreams mean anything, unless they mean something TO YOU. So if your dream didn't ring any bells or made you realize something about yourself, it's just one of those strange things your brain can come up with when you're sleeping.

I think you live in a big city and feel trapped there. So your subconscious mind is showing that to you. Perhaps to tell you to be out to the countryside once in a while.
I am not exactly sure what Purgatory is in the Biblical sense, as far as I know its a gothic comic character. You probably have seen it sometime in a newsstand and just got stuck in in your subconscious.

Do you have a guilty secret somewhere in your past?. Perhaps someone was blamed for something you did and you have never told anyone.
Perhaps there is a danger of this secret being found out or you have a subconcious desire to get it off your chest.
The purgatory link with lots of people indicates you are hiding or running away from something.

As far as I am aware, purgatory is a belief associated with the Catholic religion.
Your dream seems to me to be about a work situation, where the company are deciding the future of the work - until this has been decided you feel yourself in a state of limbo (purgatory)
