Be the kicker. Start practicing kick-offs and field goals. The kickers never have to practice as hard as the rest of the team.

As a father I can say your dad will be proud of you no matter what. But I still wouldn't quit football. When you get older you'll be able to tell how your team beat that team that year and also, It just might help you have a better relationship with your dad. --- Life is short, play a sport.

Well, You need to tell him you don't like playing football. If your dad is a reasonable man, he will respect the fact that you want to do what's best for your life and not his. He might get mad at first but I'm sure he loves you and will be proud of you no matter what course you decide for yourself.

Who cares what your dad thinks of you. You need to start being your own person. Actually its kinda gay that you care so much of what your parents think of you. If he is not proud of you if your not in football, then he doesnt even love you, he loves the fact that you play football and it gives him something to be proud of and talk to his friends about. So just stop playing football. Especially if you suck at it. Dont waste your time, youll just get injured. Still lift wieghts, thats good for you.

Your dad should be proud of you no matter what. If you don't enjoy playing football then don't play. Just be up front with him and tell him you don't enjoy it. Maybe you should play baseball or soccer. Dads want their son to be into sports but football isn't the only sport you could play.

You need to tell your father how you feel. I'm sure there are other things that you already do or could do that would make him proud that are more important than football. If not, then that's really sad.

Tell him you're flunking geometry and, by the way, you're gay.
Then tell him you're just kidding; you actually want to stop playing football. That ought to ease the sting for him.
But seriously, you've made a commitment and must honor it for this season. But if you're going to tell your dad you don't want to play next season, the best way to break it to him is to demonstrate you're filling that time with some other hobby (NOT sitting on your *** playing video games or chatting with cyber-friends online).

At some point in time you have to decide to be your own man. If your Dad really loves you, he will be proud of you for doing something you love, not doing something he loves. I'm sure he will understand your decision. If he doesnt, you need to find it in yourself to be proud of who you are for your values, not your activities.

Well if I know your dad like I think, his type would be equally impressed if you came home dressed in a mini skirt, some heels and a wig and asked him to call you LaTisha
