Depend on where you start. Along the coast there is not of nice places to stop and visit. Right in Newport Bay there is a brewery you can try out. The aquarium, Marine Science Center....further north of 101 is Lincoln City. There is a factory outlet there for shopping, Chinook Wing Casino, golf courses........Take a drive and enjoy. Hope you have fun.

I love Oregon! I've only been once, but I want to so back. It was fabulous. I don't know Newport, so sorry if my suggestions are too far north.

We though Fort Stevens and Clotsop was super cool. It was built during the Civil War and was the only mainland to be attcked in WWII. You can walk through the old bunkers and see what the soldiers would have seen. There is some interesting Native American stuff and an old boat wreck as well.

Lots of lighthouses. Pretty. Nice hike.

Astoria is really cool and you can see the Goonies house and the rock. Downtown is really small. We went to two bars/restaurants. One had live jazz music.

I really like Seaside. We played in the old fashioned arcades and ate salt water taffy. It was great fun. Fine bars too.

We also really enjoyed taking cheese tours. There are too big ones near each other. Tillemook and I forget the other...sorry.
