well, sorry but you will have a long road ahead of you. Just go into it being honest and someone WILL give you a chance.

Depends on what job. Non classified, non-police jobs don't care about misdemeanors, just felonies. Frequently, misdemeanors are indicative of ignorance and mild stupidity, not criminal intent. For example, leaving your infant in a car while you go shopping is a misdemeanor in most states. Does that mean you're bad employee? Hardly.

Have you ever tried getting the offense expunged? Having it expunged is better than having to explain it. I know a couple of people with misdemeanors and 1 of them doesn't have a hard time getting a job and one does. So from that, I am going to assume that the actual offense is weighed, not the fact that it's on your record. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Some applications only ask for felonies and don't ask for misdemeanors to be listed.
-It depends on the type of job you are applying for. Banking and law enforcement jobs are very critical of any type of conviction, while a job at Starbucks or Target will be less critical, unless it involves fraud or cash handling.

Most people have this on their record as long as it's not a felony your job search will be pretty easy.

where i Work ( and I have been in the hiring) we can only ask about felonies, in fact a misdemeanor would not even come up unless you mentioned it.

Relatively easy, except if you're trying to get a security-sensitive job or something that needs government clearance.
