I wouldn't. There is a product made especially for that purpose. Hairsprays have lots of ingredients (perfume, conditioning agents, etc.) that won't do your art any good.

Yes, you can. My Art teacher said that he used aqua-net hairspray in college to save money, and that all of his friends used too. I hope this answers this question.

You certainly can, however I would think twice about it as the spray can slightly alter the color of the chalk over time.

yes hairspray works good, there are other products out there, but hairspray is just as good and cheaper....

Yes you can but spray acrylic sealer is more permanent

spray silicon may do you better,
its availble where they sell tents ( it waterproofs them)
