No. Bell South runs your phone lines, and there is no fiber to the office that connects to your house.

No other service can help you. If there was DSL service available on the line, any DSL company could sell through it, so if Bell South says, "No", then you can't get it. You'll have to go cable or satellite.

My uncle has the same problem with another phone company. He can't get DSL because he lives in a rural area, and the phone lines can't support the bandwidth needed for a DSL connection. So he's stuck with Dial-Up.

just because you have phone service where you are doesn't mean that your line and the more importantly the local exchange have been upgraded to support dsl.

if you can't get dsl from your current phone company it likely means the local exchange doesn't yet have the ability to connect dsl to customers and so regardless of which company you go to you will probably get the same answer.

it just means waiting until they work their way into your area.
