I would like to here from people who were diagnoised with gestional diabetes while pregnant. Were u induced? If so, how far from your due date did the doc induce u? How many hours of labor did u go thru?

I already know about gestional diabetes as far as what to eat and the insulin. All i would like to know is if anyone has had it and had to be induced. If that is the case, how far off from your due date were u when they induced u.

I had exactly that. I was not induced. I just knew. I had a really strong pressure inside of my groin and thighs. I knew it was time to go. Normally, our motherly sweet bodies know when to take a crap. LOL! Know what I mean? LOL! I'm not gonna' be able to spit this out if I don't go now! LOL! Are you small and don't have wide hips? Welcome to my world, lol! I am only 5 feet tall and weighed 105 pounds at 8 months pregnant. I ended up having a 9 pound boy at 8 months. Gestational diabetes makes the baby huge. Do you drink a lot of water? My craving was always for ice and slushy ice and slushy milk. Gestational diabetes is usually due to your big, water bloated baby in their incredibly water filled placenta, sitting their fat little butt right on top of your pancreas. I am really giggling right now.

Don't be alarmed honey. When gestational diabetes occurs, in my opinion, it is because you're going to have a big baby!!!! Have you ever had any trouble having a sonogram? LOL! Probably not!!!! There's enough water in there to fuel the Mississippi! LOL!

I had 3 little girls before I had my gestational diabetes boy. They were, in order, 18 hours- 3.5 lbs, premature but just gorgeous girl and a cello/violin prodigy today. 5 hours-6 lbs, a beautiful girl and a piano prodigy, 2 hours-6 lbs, a beautiful ballerina girl, and last, but certainly not least, my one little boy who, because of the gestational diabetes wanted to rear his beautiful little head at 8 months and 18 hours of very hard labor.

I don't know if this answers your question? But I know one thing, when they break your water or if it breaks on it's own, it is definitely a huge amount. Please, prepare yourself if you plan a vaginal birth. This baby will be big. Please do yourself a favor, don't go natural. Epidurals do have a risk if the anestesioligist is lame. Do some research and demand the best. Epidurals takes all the pain and horror out of the childbirth process and doesn't hurt the baby. Make sure to get yourself set up for an epidural. Congratulations honey and good luck. Please listen to me, I do know what I am talking about. Experience is the best teacher and by the way? This will not be a prerequisite for future bouts of diabetes for you or your baby if all is normal.Ask your doc lots of questions. Do not worry over this. Some studies show though, that, and no, I cannot cite my sources, that gestational diabetes may be a pre-cursor for the onset of diabetes in older women..So keep a watch on your blood sugar levels for a while.

As soon as fat baby gets off of your pancreas? You should be just fine. Hugs and smiles for miles.

I had gestational diabetes with my second child. I was never induced, but he came two weeks early. He was a pretty large baby weighing in at 10 pounds 22 inches long. I guess that is typical of babies born from mothers with this problem.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

I had gestational diabetes with all 3 of my kids. Was never induced due to the diabetes.....1st child was 28.5 hours cause they had my epidural drip too fast, couldn't feel a dang thing! 2nd child no drugs at all = 3 hours of labor, 3rd child no drugs was about 18 hours. I'd do it over and over again if I could!!! Good luck! Just do your tests and eat right and you'll be fine!!!
P.S. 1st baby weighed 7.5lbs, 2nd 6.7lbs. and 3rd was 8.3lbs. So what they say about higher birth weights isn't ALWAYS true!!

My sister-in-law had gestational diabetes and yes she was induced at 38 weeks I believe because they thought that the baby was going to be too big. Well let's just say NOT!! My niece was born weighing 5 pounds. she was tiny because she wasnt ready yet. She ended up having a c section because when she got the epidural the baby went into distress.

Treatment for gestational diabetes aims to lower your blood glucose levels. Treatment always includes special meal plans and scheduled physical activity. It may also include daily blood glucose testing and insulin injections.

I know a few people who were diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Two women were prescribed insulin injections, which they gave themselves in the legs. They were also told to limit their starch intake, particularly rice.

My sister who had gestational diabetes was 2 weeks late and went into labor on her own. Her baby weighed 10 pounds though. High-birth weight babies are common with gestational diabetes because they are getting too much glucose (sugar) from Mom.

The big concern with gestational diabetes is under-developed lungs in the baby and babies with too much body fat.
