I had to do this once:
The back lights on the liberty are almost like legos, if you pull on the part that is closet to the trunk, it will come loose. Then take it with both hands on either side of the light and wiggle the light loose. After that, it's just a matter of taking the wiring out with the bulb on the end of it and replace it.

Take off the panel from inside and twisted which blub you want to replace counter clockwise!!!

funny. i just asked my brother this question...i believe that you need to open your tailgate. you should see a set of screws or bolts that correspond to where your tail light is. undo them and you should be able to get at your light.

also, if you go to an auto store like autozone or pep boys, just tell them what you're doing and they might just offer to do it for free.
