My husband & I are seperated and going to court for divorce and custody issues. He's fighting it all the way. He just wants to have control over my life, even though he has a new woman and child now. How is the best way to deal with someone who's just hurtful and dishonest? And yes, I tried to move. The courts are making me move back until all legal issues are resolved, which could take at least a year.

Hire you a good divorce lawyer and don't allow him to control your life. Yes, he has some say because of a child but only you can control your emotions. If he sees he is getting the best of you he will continue to do the same things. Always be honest and never stoop to his level of behavior. As soon as he sees he isn't upsetting you with all of his bs then he will stop.

Avoid all contact with him and tell him if he has anything to say, to go thru the lawyer. Make sure you have a restraining order. I'm sorry for your heartache, honey. Some people are just plain mean, and it sounds like you found one.

I'd ask around for info on an attorney that's not afraid of people like the soon to be ex. Then I'd hire him/her. And that soon to be ex would know if he had anything to say, tell it to my attorney.

ignore him. he will keep trying to control you but by paying attention to him, you're kind of letting him. don't let it get to you.
