are responsible for the timing on the Foley scandal? Despite the accounts of several Republican congresspersons and their staffs that they were responsible for the delay. Hastert came earlier today and said he was responsible for how this was handled but would not resign. ABC reported that they did not receive any infor from Democrats (remember this is the network that went after Democrats in their fictional account of 9/11, hardly liberal biased). No Republican has yet stated that any Democrat on the ethics committe was informed. How can people ignore all of that and still try to shift blame to the Democrats for the timing?

Did anyone see the O'Reily Facor alleged mistake? They ran the banner Rep. Mark Foley - Dem. Florida throughout their report of the scandal the evening of the day he resigned.

i am a republican. what foley did was his own doing. he knew it was wrong when he did it. if he hadn't done it, the demos would not have that fodder to feed on. i do not blame them for getting everything out of it that they can. that is politics. i'm sure that if it was a democrat that did what foley did the reps would have made the most of it, as the demos have. all i can say is more power to them. i would rather have a moral democrat in congress than an immoral republican. i offer no excuses for what foley did. indeed , it is inexcusable.

No.It is the Republicans own fault.

-The religous Right et al is being found out.
-Foley acted like a Republican.Period.
-Republicans are by no means morally or ethically superior.
This time the writing is on the wall.

Look at this manipulative answer:

No one is surprised at the number of Democrat perverts.
But it shocks everyone if even one Republican is a pervert.
Everyone expects that kind of behavior from Democrats.

No one at all?
shocks everyone if even one Republican is a pervert ???
.
Everyone expects that kind of behavior from Democrats.
Wow.Everyone.
Like its a fact(eyes roll).

The reactioanry front wont do anything now except call it a "smear" from the Democrats.Wrong.The biggest conservatives have the biggest skeletons in their closet.

Attack…attack…attach… lie…lie…lie… deny…deny…deny…

That represents the (successful) ‘plan’ that conservatives have – and, it’s not a plan for America, it’s just a plan to get conservatives elected so they can destroy the US Constitution and institute a quasi-theocracy based on the beliefs of their judgmental and ill-tempered God.

Cower…cower…cower…did not…did not…did not…did to…did to…did to…

This represents the Democrats pathetic response to the outrageous lies and moronic ideas of conservatives.

A child could defeat the Republicans (this is true back to, and including Reagan), but the Democratic Party can’t (unless they luck into a superstar like Clinton).

Conservatives may be criminally insane, but Democrats are insanely naïve and timid – and I sometimes wonder which is worse.

republicans are also responsible for the timing of the foley scandal, they knew about this a long time ago, they could have released the info then instead of attempting to cover it up

I never thought about the dems being responsible. Honestly, I hope they were. They need to start playing dirty to even out the playing field. The republicans have been going too far for too long.
