there was no control line present in the hpt test, but it read positive,., what are the chances that its neg... i mean, it still detected hcg right??

You need to retest the test was messed up, if there was no control line then the test is NOT valid. ♥

I never have trusted a urine test, everyone that i've taken was never right. I would suggest that you see a doctor so they can do a blood test. If they say that they want to do a urine test first, tell them that you've already done one at home. When I did that, they still gave me the urine test but I was also given a blood test on that same day instead of having to wait and come back. And yes the est can still detect the HCG, but there are several different reasons for that. It may be detected but you won't be pregnant.

The test was not valid. Call the company and get them to send you a new one or go out and get another one. What brand of test was it??

If there is no control line I would take another test because that could be false results.

you need to retest .. without the control line it means it was a faulty test. Re-test just in case.

if there is no control line then disregard the results. I would buy one of those that tells you pregnant or not pregnant in the window. that way you dont have to try to read those silly lines.... good luck! :)

Redo the test with one you purchase from anywhere other than the dollar store

What test did you take. YOu should probably take another one. Also there's this website about nothing but pregnancy tests so maybe they will help you.

i would take another one the test was invalid and i wouldnt believe what it said unless the test worked properly but u might be pregnant but i would take another one
