I am looking for the name of an animal my daughter recently got to interact with. I believe it is aomething like Kutamonday.

Coatimundi is the correct spelling -- check the sites below for further information, including care & feeding. Note this warning:
"Having a coatimundi as a pet is like having a two-year old child in many ways. Coatis are extremely intelligent and inquisitive and very skillful with their hands. There are few handles, clips and knobs they cannot master. "

The real name is just Coati or Coatimundi. And they're endangered in most countries - so count that as a blessing!
Be careful around them. They do bite and it hurts like hell. (Been there, done that.)
