According to election officials, it is too close to the election (too late) to change the ballot.

there is a different Republican candidate, but as of right now to vote for that person, one would have to actually write in the name of that candidate.

Too close to the election to change the ballot.............I think you can still write someone in?????
Sounds like a bunch of cr.p to me.
But it was not foreseen that it would be necessary to write provisions regarding what could be done with the ballot in the instance of it being revealed so close to an election that a candidate acted like a perv and traumatized young congressional pages.
I hope something will be written up for the next time deviant, perverted behavior of a rep is exposed close to an election.

The ballots take time to print and set up. The process takes just so long. It is very common for dead people and others to remain on a ballot when it happens at the last minute.

the ballot is supposed to come with instructions if you vote for Foley the vote goes to Nambla or Negron or whatever his name is

oh -- this is the same district as the butterfly ballots of 2000 -- have a great day in democratic florida!

Because they have an idiotic law in Florida that prevents his name from being removed if he resigns within (I think it's) 90 days from an election.
Pretty stupid and confusing. But a vote for Foley is a vote for the Republican candidate running now.
Have a great day!!!

Go back to your spider hole, listen to the news.
Why you care? You most likely can't or won't vote anyway.
Silly ! Your not voting for Foley but the Republican Party. They can't reprint and distribute new ballots this late.
