I have heard that this can be done and have looked at different products on the net but the only thing i can find are ones that use a radio frequency that you then tune into your car radio (do these work?). Is this the only way or are there any other products out there that can be used?

You can also get audio systems that integrate ipod. Pac-Audio has integration kits that may work for you.

Other than the cassette adaptors, don't know of any other options.

My xm works this way. It works fairly well, but sometimes has poor reception or I have to switch channels. (This is especially true on road trips.) I have a cord to wire into my radio, but the dealership refused to put it in (They want you to buy their $5000 gps and radio, etc. packages). I'm sure a garage will do it for me. I'd try to do the same if you could.

I brought a wireless adaptor from eBay (£6) and it works great! no interference, just clear music... it plugs in ciggy' lighter and you just tune radio to the correct FM channel.. brilliant..
