Layne Staley (August 22, 1967 - ca. April 5, 2002) was the lead singer of the rock group Alice In Chains and the short-lived supergroup Mad Season.

The original lead vocalist's name is Layne Staley (please note that this is the correct spelling). He died in 2002 and has been replaced by William DuVall for the band's current comeback tour.
