It depends on the person. If I cared about them, I will remember the good times. If I didn't, dump and forget sums it up perfectly.

You appreciate his honesty, he obviously realised this was important to you and couldn't marry you without being honest and that's worth a lot in my book. I know he lied to you initially, but it is so easy sometimes to get carried away and say what you think the other person wants to hear - then its too late to tell the truth. Its probably been eating away at him the whole time. I would take it on the chin and continue to trust him, if you can't trust him then the marriage is doomed, tell him how you feel and that there can be no more secrets or lies - have an amnesty and make sure you both know all you need to know before you marry, then start fresh.
