Can anyone recommend a weekend getaway with a fare price in Michigan?

I would suggest the UP... but if you only have a weekend, it's too far a drive. Next favorite is renting a cabin on lake Michigan or Lake Huron. There are great places all along North23 along the shore of lake Huron. This time of year is beautiful up there!! Call Oscoda if you want a rental...or just go and find one when you get there, there is always a nice place available. Plus, Oscoda has the Huron forest, the Ausable River, and the beaches. Ahhhh. Think I'll get up there myself!!
