Drives me nuts!
English is not my first language, but I manage so why can't they? The fact that spell check is readily available makes me think that they are just lazy.

Yes they do. I'm not perfect with grammar or spelling. However there are some who go beyond the occasional misspelled word or grammatical error.
When I see the bad spelling or grammar my first thought is that the person is either lazy or uneducated.

Yes, they do. An occasional misspelling or grammatical error is okay, and it doesn't bother me, since my spelling and grammer is nowhere near perfect.
But when I see whole paragraphs full of "u" instead of you, "wat" instead of "what" and fragments that don't even make sense, it does irritate me.
Come on, I'm fifteen and I can write and spell properly. I know I'm not the only one that's been to school. But I see so many questions and answers on here that are just long rambling errors.

Sometimes. Mostly, I just feel bad for them when I see that they have this problem. Sometimes I will misspell a word too, and I hope that people aren't getting all excited about it. It happens :)
What irritates me is when people deliberately misspell or use slang in writing like 'wats up' or 'ur' instead or you're, and things like that. I think that people think it makes them look 'cool' but I think it makes them look foolish. Just my opinion though :)

They do a little, but you just have to try to correct them in the nicest way possible. Today at school there was a girl who spelled "fruit" "fruite". You just need to be careful because some people will bite your head off if you correct them in a "rude" way.

I can deal with a few misspellings.
What irritates me is when someone asks a serious question that contains a few misspellings, and people answer only to criticize that person's misspelling.
