I'm not looking to upset anybody or make anyone feel defensive. I just want to know "How do you know you were or weren't born gay". If you are taking an offense to my question.....do not feel obligated to answer it.

One more thing, how do you explain the fact that you never see a male dog w/another male dog or another female dog w/another female dog or any other mammal that I can think of.

If I am incorrect please correct me on this.

God is the creator of life, and in His book of
instructions for all his creations, He says in
both the Old Testament and also the New
Testament that homosexually is wrong. So,
He did not create us that way, so it then is
simply a choice people make as we are not
born that way (according to the Lord). People
make lots of dumb choices during their lifetime.
Some are simply stupid and some are wrong.
.....you asked the question, that is my answer.......

We are born gay. It's not like we have a "gay school" we go to where those who pass are gay, and those who fail are straight. Here's a better question...Why are you Straight? Is being straight a learned behavior? I'd say it is. We are taught from a young age stories about "fairy tale romances." Have you ever heard of a fairy tale with two females or two males in love?? I think not. Cinderella and Prince Charming. Snow White and Prince Charming. Beauty and the BEAST. Aladdin and Princess Jasmine. Tarzan and Jane. Lady and the Tramp. All had a male/female romance. We're taught homosexuality is wrong. So how could we "learn" to be gay????????????????

I, personally, was born a lesbian. It was not a learned behavior that I made a conscious decision to follow. From as far back as I can remember I knew that men were well....not for me. The boys in school were not cute or appealing in a sexual way, but I could not get enough of my best friend. I never wondered what it would be like to be with a man. I never fantasized about men. So the only logical conclusion is that I was born the way I was meant to be!

I am gay. Like most of the answers above I can confirm that all the behaviour's demonstrated to me when growing up where heterosexual. From my parents, brothers, sisters, peers, teachers.
I must admit though that no-one ever spoke to me directly about sex until I was about 14 and by then it was to late as I had a crush on the boy next to me in English, my French master and Mark Spitz.
As for animals have gay sex it happens with monkeys and other primates just as much if not more than with humans. Surf the net for more on that.
SO YES I WAS BORN GAY AS NO-ONE TAUGHT ME BUT DID EVERYTHING TO NOT MAKE ME THAT WAY!

If you have never seen a dog with a same sex dog come to my house and explain this to my dogs. I also had two cats who were always at each other. It happens in nature all the time. I believe you are born gay or not. Upbringing is responsible for whether you act on it or not.

I know we are born this way because from the first awakening of my gender identity I knew I liked both sexes. I love women and I love men when I was a child I wanted to marry a couple so that I could be with men and women. As a teenager I fantasized about finding a married couple and being their House boy satisfying both of them. It used to be my fantasy to be involved in a threesome so that I could orally perform on a woman while her husband took her from behind doggy style. If that doesn't qualify me as bisexual I don't know what does.
I didn't learn this behavior I was like this from age 5 or so. I always wanted both.

I strongly believe that people are born gay. I have several gay friends. Some of them say that they wish they weren't gay- because of all the hatred. But they can't help it. One of my friends I grew up with always was effeminate- he liked to play dress up with me, house- he seemed more girly than me. So it was no suprise when he "came out"- Everybody knew and accepted it. I think that there are a few people who pretend to be gay- or are just simply curious.... but overall I believe that gay peoplr are born gay. They didn't "learn" it from anybody.

Well I was born a baby.
Like most human species my sexuality did not develop until my hormones and mind developed beyond infancy.
I would imagine this applies to gays also.
I mean stop lying on these answers!
Were you born a democrat too?

NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE!!

That's the only reasonable answer ANYONE could ever give to this question.

That said...

I tend to believe that sexual orientation is BOTH 'nature' and 'nurture'.

Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)
