Yes. Especially if your IT department is running proxy servers to intercept internet request. Proxy servers usually cache copies of web sites users visited.

But if you're using a stand alone workstation that does not connect to server to operate and does not need proxy to access the internet, then the answer is NO.

It's really easy for the IT folks to see this. Even if you bring in your own laptop to the office and never join it to the company network, your traffic still must go through a corporate server computer to physically get out to the Internet. And all activity through those servers can easily be tracked. They can see where you go anytime you go there. And using tools like WindowWasher won't help because those only wash your computer, not the server computer you travel through to get to the Internet. They can see all the web sites you visit, how long you spend on each one, and it's very easy to track it right back to the computer on your desk.

PS- we can read your email, too, if you're using your company email account. We can't read your Yahoo mail though.

Maybe. However, if you feel the need for stealth then go check it out in the computer. Use Windows Washer to completely clean other traces. There is still a index that still records all visit website through internet explorer. Free AVG antispyware might remove it.

Send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can help you. Do you have Yahoo messenger? I'll keep it open for converation.

Yes. The main server can create log files from all activities and at least record all data inside a network.

He is just showing off, he might have a crush on you, most IT guys really don’t care what you do as long as you don’t mess things up…. Asking him out to coffee…

they use a keylogger to record your keystrokes and they have server logs to tell them when you were on, how long and all those naughty things you did while you were playing instead of doing your job. :(
