preachers using hours of television time begging for money? I would rather sew a seed elswhere like with someone that needed money of that could put it to use. Many of times i will turn the tv on christian channel to hear something positive but its always all about money on alot of them. I couldnt imagine myself (stay at home mom) sending 20 dollars to a woman preacher that had a 150 dollar hair job, and all kinds of nice jewlery, lol that would be funny. I get more positive to listening to Dr.Phil these days. I dont go to chruch anymore i used to go all the time but i think alot of preachers are only preaching for the money. If i had money to give away i would give it to someone that needed it or to some preacher that i knew was helping the poor. And if i was a preacher and called to do a job for God i wouldnt be on national television asking people to send me money for hours and hours and hours, thats just flat out selfish. I would advise them to sew a seed in Africa or oak cliff....

God blesses us in many ways but we should give back and not spend hours on tv still begging for money.

I've listened to them for inspiraton and ideas and I think I sent $5 once. I feel the same way about the megachurches. There's a famous one not too far from where I live. It has as many square feet as a college, but there's no school other than Sunday school. At the same time, they tell people to home school or to lobby for prayer and religious teaching in public schools. They could easily start their own religious school on their current property, they'd just have to make a few modifications for fire and building codes. Where do all their millions go? I think mega churches are no better than TV preachers, most of your money goes to their pockets, a tiny amount, for show, goes to real charities or the community.

You just described the president of the United States. Only he is doing it with our tax money, give to the rich while cutting off peoples lifelines. It really is a Christian thing to do to tithe, but the money should go to those less fortunate then yourself.

I thought we were supposed to give to the poor, those who can't give it back, those who need it most. Bet you never viewed Robin Hood as a hero..
