I too hate math. Unfortunately anything you major in will require some math to meet general education requirements. I would recommend taking the math classes early to get them out of the way. Also take statistics. I know it sounds weird but in a lot of ways statistics are easier than some upper level maths. Trust me I've gone all the way through graduate level multivariate statistics and still can't do basic addition and subtraction without using my fingers. Biology is a good major but can be highly competitive. You may also want to look into things like neuropsychology or cognition if you are interested in any way about the brain and comparisons across species. Check into the programs offered at your college. Also talk to students currently enrolled in the programs. Another thing is to take your gen. ed science classes first. See what you like in the intro courses. Good luck.

I suggest that you could go into something like Geology or Biology. The fact that you like science but dont like math shows that these two might be good for you. Any science that deals with plants and animals does not include a lot of math

Although Science has a lot to deal with math it is all usually simple math like basic algebra so you should major in something with science anyway. A marine biologist would be fun!

Math is the tool of science. In evolutionary biology, I am always using statistical analysis of populations. Counting techniques, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing ect., ect.. Not to mention the algebraic manipulations and endless conversions. Do I like it? No!! I don't like paying taxes, either, but I do. I need to use math and so will you.

Its been my experience too. I managed to learn quite a bit of math cuz I had to. I still hate it though. Unfortunately, you have to learn lots of Math to get a Science Degree of any kind. Maybe see if you can learn it. start with the Dummies math books to refresh. If its ok then do it anyway.
