Trial by jury is the fairest system, as ordinary members of the public from all walks of life, and know nothing of the case beforehand, or who is involved will judge on the evidence alone.
I don't see why anyone should have a problem with it.

Hey dumbass, I hope neither you nor anybody close to you ever needs the courts to help you out on something. Bad attitudes like that, and no concern for civic duty, is part of the reason this country is failing. You get that jury summons, you go. And you do justice. Period.

A) You get paid
B) You should be glad you are entitled to a jury of your peers
C) You should be proud to do your duty as a citizen to serve on a jury
So the answer is a big NO.

ok we get paid for it, however when you help decide a guilty verdict and piss some one off is that 100 dollars going to save your life? Uh, no. Its wrong to tell us we have to do it and act like they're doing us a favor by paying us to put more on the line than anyone realizes, I don't call it slavery, but I call it another cheap shot at jacking the public around.

Jury service is an honor, duty, and a privilege. It is an opportunity to serve your country. If you were standing trial wouldn't you want smart, competent, citizens to make decisions about your future.

Slavery. My guess is that you are a lazy asss who would not know slavery if it bit you on the dick. Hopefully you never get called for jury. Of course poetic justice would be if you go on trial and your jury is a bunch of lame lazy assses such as yourself.

If you are a national of the UK and have no pending judicial
problems, it is your duty to serve as a jury member whenever
called upon. If you are not happy with this duty, you can always
move elsewhere.

You shouldn't knock one of the fundamental principles of our society.
Imagine your fate if you are one day wrongly accused of a crime. Who do you think is more likely to acquit you - an 80 year old, senile judge, in a wig and gown (fish-net stockings and red suspenders underneath) OR a jury of 12 of your peers?

No it is civic duty. That is the duty of a citizen to his community, which has reciprocal benefits.
It would only be slavery if you were not part of and didn't fairly and justly benefit from society.
