=this times of year when the weather gets cooler I like to make soups and stews. So make your favorite and then do this. Get yourself a pumpkin, cut off the top (your cover) remove the pulp etc. from the inside and then wash it. Pour your soup inside and cover it. Now you have an edible center piece. The kids will enjoy making toasted pumpkin seeds, and you can make dessert from the pulp. Enjoy and Happy Halloween.

I usually make a cake. Pillsbury and Duncan Hines have mixes that are colored in Halloween colors and have halloween sprinkles. My 4 1/2 yr old loves it. He helps decorate.

I make cup cakes for my family and step son every year. This year I am making skeleton cup cakes. They are so cute. I also roast hot dog wieners and cut them to look like fingers (nail beds and all). They look so gross but the kids love them. I all so make chocolate covered carmel apples every year. Some other things I've done for Halloween parties...
punch with a frozen hand and gummy worms, dirt cake with gummy worms, carved bell peppers (like a jack-o-lantern) with spaghetti in them (looks like brains or worms), pumpkin cheesecake with a witch on top, hot dog wieners wrapped in croissant dough to look like mummys and jack-o-lantern sugar cookies.I got most of these recipes from the Taste of Home Magazine over the years. Hope this helps!
