I know I am going to get beat up on this one. I like the sport but I think the season is a bit long. If they eliminated the pre-season games and started in mid September would that be better?

Yes I am a real hockey fan. I been since the early 70's. That's when I saw my first game. I had season tickets to the Flyers until they got out of my price range.

The season is much to long. By the middle of May, sometimes the beginning of May, I don't want to be in the house watching hockey, I want to be outside. Actually this isn't a problem lately since I am a long time Bruin fan and they are usually done for the year and out playing golf. When they are done I really lose interest.

The NHL season is shorter than my son's Peewee team 'yearly' season and workouts.. we never have had more than a week go by the past two years where there wasn't at least one 'optional' skate a week, including June and July.. and our season (games) is about 55 to 60 games.. and he's only 10.. We've already played ten official games so far this season (2006-2007).. We are allowed upto 74 or 75 games a season.. not including Spring season.. throw in another 15 or so..

for sure enjoying over a hundred video games is harsh, it is why this isn't any longer for all of us. It makes triumphing the Cup that somewhat greater particular, because of the fact the main important area of triumphing it is surviving. Hell the playoffs is an entire quarter of a season. this is what makes hockey, hockey. do no longer replace something. besides it may be stressful yet having "Duncan Keith" etched into the Cup for all to work out is amazingly a staggering convenience for putting his physique with the aid of 111 battles. the adult males i myself experience for are the flyers. same grind, yet no Cup. yet then I bear in mind they're Flyers and that i recover from it. we are at the instant throwing a "enable's throw 5 potentialities on the Royals so Greinke can flow 9-15" social gathering. Yankee administration is the superb in the sport while they shop a point head, yet while they're desperate it gets gruesome. I hate while this group panics.

no way. nobody would be complaining that its too long if there team made the playoffs. that's the only reason people complained is cause now they have to watch other teams for the next month while their teams are golfing. if they all made the playoffs nobody would be complaining that the season is to long.

It would not be so bad if the playoffs did not take 2+ months.

The end of March is when the regular season play ends.

I think it is longer than it should be. It seems like the season is over when i already has to start again.
