I believe that large corporations should support American public schools by providing needed school supplies to needy students;

offer tutoring

help defray the expense of having more/better security in these halls of learning, up to and including security guards, cameras, etc.

I'd like to see corporations play a more hands-on roll in American schools. They could send people out to the schools to talk about what they do and how they do it. They could have demonstrations and explain the skills involved needed to run the company. Children would get great info on how the real world works and what it takes to get a good job. These would be wonderful assets to have when they enter the world of employment. Also, corporations would have a direct hand in grooming the workers of the future, especially as children seem to remember visitors that go to their school for most of their lives. This would be a big positive for the corporation too, knowing that they made a difference. Any corporation can throw money at a school. It's how they give their support with time and knowledge that makes the biggest difference.
