Is it not annoying to find post after post that have the subject;
"What's your opinion?"
"What do you think about this?"
"I have a question?"
"Do you know anything about?

Put the subject of your question in the subject field and maybe more people would actually look at your question.

I'm not sweating, just asking a question.

If curiosity killed the cat, shouldn't we learn from their example and be a little more cautious.

Yes, Slartibartfast, do you have one? I still haven't found one. If you can make whole planets, you should be able to make a simple program like that, right? And, as you can plainly see, the subject of my question was in the subject line and then I used the extra box to elaborate on the details.

See everyone it's not that hard. You just break down your inquiry to the base subject and you lead with that. It's just like news reporting, you want to grab attention with the subject to bring people in and then you give them the details.

I'dLike2Know, you expressed my sentiments perfectly.

I can understand your frustration, but guess what, when I see a question like that, it makes me want to check it out even more!

Sometimes the question is pretty good, but sometimes I feel like a fell on a luring trap! (Where the question was just...well...not worth my time to answer...because it is somestimes...to put it nicely...inappropriate).

I know what you mean . Some like to be mysterious . Some are just meant to be polls . Others do it because it's the only way they can get you to read their question . The majority of the time I pass those up . If the question is too long -then you have no choice but to continue below .
The worst is "I have a question"...duh , now THAT'S a revelation !

You must have a rather low annoyance threshold. Obviously the asker felt the question will not be accommodated in the question line. Which can only take 110 characters. So chill, ok?

Curiosity killed the cat. People are naturally curious.

It's up to each person that asks... If you have a problem with that way of asking, then simply don't read those questions. No need to make such a fuss about it.

I do this when my question doesn't fit within the 110 characters. But I'm still new at this.

It is because there is not enough room there! I try putting one of my questions in the question line and Yahoo shortened it to the point where it didn't even make sense!

So - about this PDA program to transfer files to a remote computer?

I would think there is more to the question than just asking the question... there is a story behind why they are asking about.....
