I am Reiki Master/Teacher who has been getting/giving treatments for over 5 years now. It's a wonderful healing modality. I beg to differ with Thierrylatortoise's comment that Reiki is sinister and like a pyramid scheme.
There are 3 levels designed to assist/attune you in your healing path. It just depends on how far you want to go in the Reiki journey (from healing yourself to being able to heal others).
I suggest meeting with a Reiki Master/Teacher in your area and schedule a session with them. Also look up www.reiki.org for additional information.

Yes, I have used Reiki, and Yes, it did help. The success of Reiki depends a lot on the patients belief in this alternative to more conservative treatments. It may help to do some research on the history of Reiki if you have any doubts about the process. If you go into the experience thinking you will not receive any help, odds are you won't.

My wife is a Reiki instructor. She has doen a coupel of treatments on me. Reiki is basically the transfer of energy. Giving you good energy to replace or replenish the energy you currently have. It does work, but you have to open to the transfer or it will not work. It does help, so if you are having energy issues or problems Reiki will help you to feel more positive and more energetic. You can also do Reiki sessions long distance if there is no one in your area. If you are interested email me and my wife may be able to find someone in your area or give you more information.

I have and it does--and now I teach others how to use it.
I find the best stories to be animal healings. Animals don't have a placebo effect.
Yesterday one of my students (who is only level 1) told me her dog had a hideous eye infection and the vet said the dog would lose the eye. She applied Reiki to the dog's head (you never apply Reiki directly to an eye) for several days while also giving the treatment recommended by the vet and the dog kept his eye.
I personally helped a horse not to lose a hoof and another horse regain control of his breathing (severe asthma) so he didn't have to be put down.

Several years ago I was having severe nerve problems in my neck. Every time this nerve in my neck would jump, and my right arm would raise involuntarily. Painful and embarrassing.
I was at a women's conference where I met two wonderful Reiki Masters. They worked on me for 10 minutes. There was no pain involved in what they did. I just stood there, and they did their work.
I immediately felt better and I haven't had any more problems with that nerve in my neck since. That was 6 years ago.

Yes and very much YES. It is just amazing. And you don't have to believe it to work. It just works. After trying it, using it, I have gone to the extent of learning it & now am a Professional Healer and Master. Just a few years back, I was totally ignorant of it and now tremendously benefited with it and using Reiki to heal others and teach them too.

yes, not at all, i think reiki is a little sinister as it just seems to be a bit of a pyramid that you get recruited into being a reiki practitioner really easily and have to keep on doing more and more courses.
