horoscopes, anyone?

Question

do you believe in the horoscopes that you read in the paper or in magazines? do you believe in reading the stars and mapping out your future? and what about your signs (aries, taurus, etc.)? do you beleive in them, or do you just think that they are bullshit? i do. i would like to hear your opinion!!!

my sisters and some of my brother are really into this kind off stuff and i don't know why!!!!! is it really as cool as it seems, or is it just hype?

I dont really believe that everything in the horoscopes are true but sometimes i will read one nad it will be so much like my situation its scary. Most of the time thoughthey are crap

I dont belive in the actual horoscope thing--because people generally can say those things about ANY sign...and some points will come true, some will not..the reason they can do this is because they are very vague and generalize in their descriptions/predictions.

I do however believe in astrology...which is a description of each of the signs personalities. If you were to sit down and read one of those books and then go out and talk to one person from each sign you would see that they do match A LOT of their characterstics described.....think of it this way...why do some people get along and some dont???? It's because they have different characteristics...personalitys, etc..and that all has to do with when they were born (the way the stars are aligned.)

The forecast given in thee Magazines and papers based on sun sign or Moon signs are very general in nature and are applicable to 1/12th of world population for each sign of zodiac. Such forecasts can be safely ignored and generally have nothing to do with individual horoscopes.
Birth horoscope of any person has to be cast taking the particulars such as Date of birth, Time of birth as recorded, and the place (city/state/country ) of birth. There are many people who can cast a horoscope in the computer with the data mentioned above. But there are very few who can read a horoscope correctly.
Computer based forecasts are also equally irrelevant.

i am with u it is nonsense to believe in future mapping and telling of ones life events before happening that is all an predictions and not true things but u can be live in the characteristics of each sign

i dont think its true. the predictors just write genera statements like this week is going to be good, or something like that so that it matches all ppl. and sometimes coincides with our situation. for eg. for the one who is going to deliver a baby we can make a guess taht it is going to be girl or a boy. & if our guess turns out to be true, do u think we can predict the future. so this is how it goes in all cirucumstances. just a guess & coicidence. nothing else.
so this is just kinda entertainment, shudnt go deep into this..

the tendencies are True like Pisces are the ultimate romantics and want constant sex....Tarurus and all firesigns are also romantic...the prediction things wont usually come true...

I use to laugh at them. But in time, it seems to me that people born under certain signs tend to have the same characteristics.

I think its a form of entertainment.. I don't think horoscopes are real.. they have no proof that its true
