I was offered a 10 cent raise once. I told him to shove it and found a job that payed like $3 more!
The company I am slave to now gives us a 1-5% annual raise based upon performance reviews (no one ever really gets the 1% or the 5%)

percentage 4% is high -- i was a govt employee -- 2%-2 1/2% was standard -- I know a lot of people the same. a friend of mine works in finance and got 3% -- the highest in his department. look at it as a reason to find a better boss. a friend of mine makes her own raises -- she has found if she quits works somewhere else and goes back it makes for more money than if she stays in one place all the time.

i worked for a check cashing office (horrible job) and was told that after 6 months i would get a raise, my boss was very mean, and always thought about herself and her raises, she didn't even mention anything to me about getting a raise, so i looked for another job, i got one that paid me 1.50 more an hour, it really does make a difference!

0% - I haven't received a raise in 3 years. So be happy. You could not have received anything.
