When they do this we as a people will be supporting these peoples for the rest of their lives. I have checked the stats on this and we are only sentencing ourselves to taking care of these people forever. Come on there must be a way to treat this as an addiction and get these people back into society. Don't you think?

Well toni m I am doing something about it. I am in the process of opening the first transitional house especially for the institutionalized meth addicts, maybe your smart attitude isn't so cute anymore huh? Instead of snotty answers maybe the people like you who are never going to help anyone else cause they are just tooo good for that will just not say anything if they can't be constructive, or at least helpful.

This is one of the hardest additions to fight. A friends daughter has been in and out of rehab so many times - actually more times than she has been in jail - that she could run the program and still can't stay clean. We tax payers are supporting her in or out of jail, but at least in there she isn't stealing from her family and friends or spreading disease. So how much help is enough?
The local newspaper has been running a before and after picture of the meth addicts that have been arrested. Wow! what an eye opener that is...and exactly what the daughter mentioned above looks like at 36 living out of her car.

Meth addiction is very scary.. My husband used for 23 years. There is a very small percentage for total rehabilitation. He has been clean for 5 years. The problem with meth is that it is SOOO addictive. We have to draw a line about how much we will support those we know who have this problem, but ultimately it is up to the user to break the cycle. I wish I had an answer, but unfortunately I don't.

i say we pull an England/Australia and move all the meth addicts to some remote island and let them fend for themselves!

If you are so concerned why don't you figure out a way to help instead of complain about it.
