Because a lot of it used to come overland through Egypt and Lebanon and it's been a bit tricky lately, what with the Israelis and all. When was the last time you saw any Red Leb? I haven't seen any (genuine) since the late 80's.There's also a few hundred naval vessels in east end of the Med at the moment and that makes people a bit twitchy.
