I think it depends on the relationship. I recently found out I had to move the place I lived in was sold and I had 30day notice to move. Well I was short about $300 for a new deposit and new higher rent. I went to one of those cash advance places because I wasn't comfortable asking him for it. We are very close and have been together a year but it just didn't feel right.

She should BORROW the money, with an honest intent to pay it back as quickly as possible, and then there won't be any question of propriety.
However, I must warn you that money is a grand way to screw up a good relationship. Would she resent the fact that you, after giving her money, feel as if she owes you (in perhaps more ways than one)? Do yourself a favor - if you can avoid this, do avoid it.

I don't think a woman or a man should be given money unless they live together as husband and wife. Girlfriends/Boyfriends should borrow money with the intent to pay it back. I don't necessarily think it's a form of prostitution unless she decides to not have sex with him because he won't give her money.

I think I'd need more details.
Is the money a quid pro quo?
Is the money a gift?
Is the money a loan?
Is this a one time payment or a recurring payment?

If this is a real boyfriend and not a sex buddy its not prostitution. Prostitution is having sex FOR money.
