YES! Good for you. I had a boss treat me terrible and he was breaking many laws. I lasted there a year. I reported him to the Department of labor. The day I quit I felt like a 300pound object was lifted from my shoulders. I was so miserable while working there. I was poor for a little while after that but eventually found a job. It was worth it. I was and still am a happy and positive person afterwards.

Yes I've been there. I approached the manager who was the problem who also owned the business so no one else to go to. I told her she was quite scary etc... Think she was afraid I'd take a case against her. She did try to be better but I still left and I'm so much happier now. You can by the way take a case against the bully (cos that's what they are) for constructive dismissal. In other words you left as a result of their behaviour but in Ireland you only have 3 weeks to do it. Think about it and good luck!

Yes. I had a boss like that. I walked out on her too. She was very lazy, and if something went wrong it was always my fault, even if was hers. I went to her boss, and he didn't do crap.
Since I left 4 years ago, her boss retired, and the new one put her in her place.
But you still couldn't pay me enough to go back.
Good for you!!!!!! No one has the right too be treated like that.
You were hired to do a job, not be harassed by her.

My sister is in a job she's very unhappy with at the moment.Shes on the verge of depression and i wish she would do the same but it's not as simple as that because she has a mortgage. Her boss treats her like a piece of s**t and it's not nice seeing my sister like that. You probably did the right thing as your health would have suffered eventually.Good luck on getting another job and hope you find the job right for you next time.

Maybe tell her off, in addtion! Most of the time people are better off striving to be in their own business.
I'm still a firm believer that the ulitmate way to quit if your boss is a man is to cut the tie that he's wearing in half. I don't know what you'd do if it's a woman, but perhaps some creative thought is in order.

If it was me, i'd go pick up my last check, and on the way out, i'd strike that ***** in the face! But other females don't act like that to me, and I think that's why, because they know what I would do if they did. In your case though, I would contact her boss again and let her know what is going on and ask if there is a way she can mediate or solve the problem.

Will you still feel great when the paychecks have stopped coming?
Human beings are mostly all the same. When/if you find another job, there are just going to be more humans working there, and in all likeliood you'll have a new boss whose not much better and not much worse.
Hope it all works out...

You did the right thing. Get out. The only downer is the pwer freak is now gonna do it to some one else. I hate people who can only make themselves big by treading on others. best of luck.

I am sorry to hear that you didn't get on well with your boss. She seems to have an attitude problem herself. Don't worry about it anymore. It's not worth getting angry with someone you are not going to remember in two months' time.
