It just really irritates me that so many people throw litter out of their cars, or just down on the ground if they are outside walking. They are just too cotton pickin lazy to find a trash can, or carry it home and put it in the trash. Los Angeles is one of the worst places I've seen. Was out there with my sister in her semi-truck. And there are people in the apartment complex where I live, who throw there trash down outside, bottles, cans, wrappers, cigarette butts( I'm a smoker, when I'm smoking outdoors, I knock the fire off and put the butt in my pocket and put it in the trash when I go in.) I just think it's disgusting the some people are too lazy to pick up after themselves.
Why do these litter bugs think someone else should have to pick up after them?

YOu are so right, too bad we can't get a chip put in everyones brain to pick up behind themselves.

That is such a good question. I'm glad to know I'm not the only person around irritated by this. I will take candy wrappers from my kids, not matter how messy they are, and put them in my pocket until I can find a trash can rather then throw them on the ground. I am also teaching my two young children to pick up after themselves. Aside from tossing stuff outside, people who all live together should clean up after themselves as well so one person doesn't get stuck doing all the housework. It really doesn't take any longer to quickly wash & dry a dish then to dump it in the sink for someone else to do later when the stuff has dried and gotten nasty.

I totally agree! In High School, it just tore me apart to see how my fellow classmates, didn't pick after themselves during lunch. They would leave the lunch tables, and wherever else they ate, looking like...well...just not good! Really bad, I tell you.

I even did a short film on this. I taped how the cafeteria looked like before we ate, and then after we ate (which wasn't pretty), and we showed it to the whole school, and how the trash should all go in a trash can. Yes, I even showed that! I still don't think they got the message...I'm out of high school now, but hopefully, they make the kids throw their own trash away.

Yes, we have janitors, but I don't think it's their job to pick up after us. They have other duties.

I couldn't agree with you more. Our home owners association has gone away and I live on the part of the street that has esplanades. I've taken it upon myself to pick up trash, mow and trim the islands. I can't believe the amount of trash I pick up from the island every week. And this trash is coming from people that live in the neighborhood. I don't know why people would want their property value and neighborhoods to go to crap.

And another thing, I'm sick and tired of punk gang bangers spraying crap all over buildings that people can't even read or even care to know what it is they are trying to say. I wish parents would teach the punk brat ts that what they are doing is defacing their own neighborhood and taking money out of their own pockets.

Whoever raised the individuals that don't have a care, are the ones who taught them this nonchalant attitude. Some people were shifted around so much that no one cared about what they did. On the other hand, I have known folk who were meticulous about themselves. Some were as clean as a pharmacist would be. Others, no matter what, had total disregard for others and their feelings. It is more a matter of what a person inherited from his gene pool than anything else. Above all, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

No one has the right to litter the world we all share. Especially cigarrette butts. What? The ashtray in the car too full? I can't tell you how many piles of butts I've seen in parking lots. I would love to see someone emptying their butts from their car onto my earth.
