Good point.

Ok, the Republicans are in charge, but it is by such a small majority that the RINOs (Republican in Name Only) can sway votes. Arlen Specter is one of the biggest offenders.

In addition, every time the Democrats see the Republicans gaining some significant ground, they filibuster. Until the filibuster is eliminated, you can't blame the party in charge for the lack of progress.

We also need the line-item veto. The way of congress is to attach your unrelated pork project or unrelated stupid law to something that most everyone wants to pass. So much of this junk gets attached that eventually they start to decide that they simply can't vote for this good legislation with so much crap attached.

that's why the us isn't perfect the republicans are in charge. and the fact that the ten commandments can't be on display in a federal building, children can't say prayers in school. god has been put on a back burner and the devil has taken over.

No its that fact that when the US was founded it was founded on God. Now that liberals have taken the importance of God out of just about everthing, we are starting to fall as a Nation. The democrats got nothing of value accomplished under Clinton, though he was a cool guy, and the republicans got nothing of value accomplished under Bush.

In my view US is very perfect like it's citizens.
Let it be Republicans or Democrats it does not matter.

They've been in charge before, when there wasn't as much partisanship getting in the way of progress.
A democracy will never be perfect, due to minority oppression.

There are things they have been getting done, like minimizing when and if you can have an abortion, making the morning afterpill more readily available and instead of getting head,we got Sadaam instead. Perhaps the American America haters should go back to their original countries.

The US was never perfect under any Political Party. You would know this if you did were not blinded by a political agenda.

Because no one who is in this country thinks we are perfect. If each citizen constantly points out faults and complains how things are bad, then as a collective mind our society and country will be just as bad.

yeah, they've done something alright - screwed this country up good!

No country is perfect....except, maybe, Singapore - I've heard good things about Singapore - but other than that, no country is perfect.

The US will never be perfect. It will just be better than every other God-foresaken hell hole on this planet. That's why people keep coming here......and I thought they were just coming to mow my lawn and trim my bushes!
